What this site is

play1beat.com is the website for “1 Beat: Hit Music Game”, a rhythm game in development for iPhone and Android. It publishes information about the game, reference articles about the rhythm game genre, and free browser tools. Nothing here is a contract to deliver the game on any particular date.

The waitlist

Submitting your email address asks us to notify you about 1 Beat. It costs nothing, commits you to nothing, and you can leave at any time. See the privacy policy for what happens to the address.

The free tools

The audio offset calculator measures latency using your browser's audio clock and your own taps. Browser measurements are approximate: they include your reaction time and whatever the browser adds, so treat the result as a starting point rather than a precise figure. Use it at your own risk; we are not liable for decisions made on the basis of its output.

Accuracy, and corrections

Articles on this site describe other games and third-party software. We state what we have verified and date it. Software changes, so check the date on a page before relying on it.

We refer to other games and companies by name where it is necessary to describe or compare them. Those names belong to their owners. Being mentioned here does not imply any relationship, endorsement, or sponsorship in either direction.
